Are you interested in becoming a more confident diver in a unique and rewarding course?
If so we have just the thing for you, the Stress & Rescue Diver is a challenging and rewarding course allowing you to improve your diving assurance and pleasure by learning to detect, manage and avoid stress-related scenarios.
Recognizing and managing stress are the keys to prevent any scuba diving accidents. Diving emergencies can happen due to many reasons such as the unstable conditions we are diving in, equipment faults or human error. Having the ability to observe, understand, identify and react to these situations allows us to manage even the most stressful experience.
The objective of the Rescue Diver course in Tioman is to give you the knowledge, ability, and experience to allow you to quickly identify and safely resolve emergencies in a multitude of dive situations.
Safety is our top priority while we strive to provide an inclusive and supportive scuba dive training environment for all our students. Our class sizes are small, with a maximum of two students per Instructor.
Your course will begin as soon as you enrol onto the Stress & Rescue Course, gaining access to your digital learning material, which can be completed at your own pace before arriving on Tioman Island. That means that as soon as you get here the fun begins!
When you arrive at JSA we will finalise your paperwork and get you kitted up with all your dive gear, joining your instructor and fellow students to do practical on land drills before going to the confined water area to start learning the right way to analyse and respond to divers in an emergency, through a series of controlled exercises.
On your second day with us you will get to apply the skills you learned during your confined water session in the first of your Open Water dive scenarios.
Day three of your Diver Stress & Rescue course is filled with diving, enjoying scuba diving in Tioman while responding to several emergency scenarios prepared by your instructor applying your knowledge and skills in ‘real life’ scenarios.
To take part in the rescue diver course, you must:
During three days, you will cover academy sessions, confined water exercises and rescue scenarios in open water.
